The Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) has awarded HARINERA DEL MAR SIGLO XXI, S.L.U. a grant for improving energy efficiency as part of the 2019 call for proposals for the Programme of grants for energy efficiency measures in SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector.

This aid is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the 2014-2020 Multi-regional Operational Programme for Spain.

With this project, which involves an investment of €47,681.00 and for which a grant of €14,304.30 has been awarded, HARINERA DEL MAR SIGLO XXI, S.L.U. has carried out the installation of an energy efficiency refurbishment package for the mill's pneumatic system at its plant in Noain.

The main objective is to improve the energy management of the milling process, regulating and reducing electricity consumption in this process by refurbishing the energy efficiency of the pneumatic system of the mills involved in the flour manufacturing process.

This action will enable a 30% saving in electricity consumption. As a result, the total reduction in electricity consumption will be 21.61 toe/year, achieving an estimated annual saving of 251,278.50 kWh.
